Perimenopause & Menopause –

This workshop aims to begin to explore how yoga can assist us at all levels through the journey of perimenopause, menopause and beyond and how to celebrate with honour and full respect these intense encounters with change as central to a woman’s spiritual growth, to her Self acceptance and spiritual maturity.

The workshop introduces techniques and awareness for breathing, moving and being to some of the most common challenges and symptoms that women encounter during perimenopause and menopause.

Also there will be time for reflecting, sharing and a beautiful healing yoga nidra practice about Being With Not Knowing.

Perimenopause is the time leading up to the edge of menopause and can last for many years. This time is characterised by changes in the menstrual cycle and many other aspects of women’s experience.

This workshop is suitable for all women, but specifically significant for women from 40 plus.

The practice of Womb Yoga enables us to access the inner guidance of our source wisdom so that we may more readily reside in wellbeing and peace with our experiences as women.

Time: 6.30 to 9pm  (including time to share tea and reflections)

The ever popular Gong Bath returns to the Yoga Shed next week and this time we will be raising funds for the East Africa Crisis.

The gong is one of the oldest musical instruments known. Based on ancient wisdom, the gong vibrates at frequencies that allows the body to heal itself.  If you haven’t experienced a Gong Bath before, expect an immersive relaxation, based on healing sounds which balance the vital energies of the body.

Let the ‘tsunami’ of sound carry you to a deeper level of awareness and rest, as you simply lie down and absorb its transformative possibilities and help towards this worthy cause.

Where – the Yoga Shed, Akeley

When – Thursday 27th April 7.30 to 8.30pm

Investment – £15 per person.

Due to popularity of this event, we suggested emailing for availability first:

All proceeds donated to charity.

I can’t quite believe that we approaching the end of 2016, I know it has almost become cliché but it certainly has flown by…. and what a year it has been.

Certainly the Yoga Shed has seen some fantastic times and thanks to all of you that has contributed to the wonderful energy that fills the space.

What a wonderful way then, to finish with a week of charitable intentions and giving back, this week we raised an amazing contribution of £285.27 for the Winter Night Time Shelter MK, this was sent to them today. I feel sure this will be a great help for a very worthwhile cause.

So, The Yoga Shed is now closed for the season and I want to say a very big, warm thank you to you all for your generosity of spirit, your giving and for making the space a wonderful place to be, your support is always appreciated. I look forward to more time sharing next year and for those that haven’t visited us yet I hope that will change soon (and that we can accommodate more of you that have been waiting for places).

Happy holidays and every blessing for 2017.

Om Shantih

p.s The Yoga Shed reopens from Monday 16th Jan 2017 ( as we take a little rest and restore for a brand new year of yoga). Oms.
